The Fountaine Pajot Alegria 67 is designed for you to enjoy sailing and the cruising lifestyle in maximum comfort and style, and features some of the hallmarks of a lifestyle worthy of the finest homes.
A massive foredeck with a deep set lounge is a private haven and has the option for a jacuzzi, and with a huge trampoline is ideal for sun-worshippers to relax at anchor or underway. Not only can you access this lounge via super-wide side decks, it can also be accessed directly through a forward door from the saloon. This is a great feature.
There is also a wonderful access through directly from the forward lounge to the starboard forward cabin.
The vast aft cockpit is simply enormous at 36 sqm. The folding cockpit table is set to port it is neat and seats 8, but extended will easily seat 12. There is a large transom seat and next to this a fridge, storage area and integrated BBQ. To starboard there is another fridge, a sun-bed set outboard and elegant spiral stairs up to the fly-bridge. A huge sliding door and window connects this outside dream space to a luxurious saloon.
There are also cleverly designed entrances to both aft cabins directly from the cockpit. Note the spiral stairs go through the roof of the cockpit and there is a neat hatch that closes off to create a completely solid cockpit roof/floor of the upper deck.
Behind the cockpit is the enormous tend-lift which provides a huge sunbathing platform and swim up access when the dinghy is launched.
The Fountaine Pajot Alegria 67’s upper deck is like everything else on this boat, large and comfortable. Situated behind the twin helm-station it features a huge seating area with table, and fridge/sink counter space. A small step up to find four huge sun beds stretching out on top of the cockpit roof. They are enclosed by stainless stanchions to keep everything safe underway. It is a massive relaxation area and there is even space behind this for solar panels.
Through the sliding door from the cockpit you find an open plan saloon with unprecedented space and luminosity. Or enter from the forward lounge through a hydraulic door.
In the Galley Up version the saloon has an apartment-size kitchen with full size appliances and a big lounge area, as well as a navigation station with excellent views in all directions. The galley is comprehensively equipped with double sink, fridges and freezer, ice maker plus plenty of countertop and storage. There is also space in the hull for dishwasher and washing machine.
In the Lounge version the saloon is exclusively dedicated to entertaining and relaxation with the beautifully equipped galley in the hull. (Double oven, 5 burner counter top stove, huge fridge/freezer, masses of counterpace and storage.)
With this layout option there is an extended bench settee and folding dining table to starboard. Forward there is a large navigation area with plenty of space for charts and a centrally placed set of electronics for navigation and monitoring the boats systems. To port there is another settee and coffee table, and forward a separate bar area with fridge and great counter space
Natural light from large vertical windows bathes this vast open saloon with exceptional light making it feel very airy and open.
UNDER SAIL AND POWER
There are two helm stations, each with flats-screen navigation electronics, and they are in a commanding position with excellent 360 degree visibility from both. Engine controls are on the starboard helm pod. They are covered, along with the upper lounge area, with a canvas bimini with viewing sections so the mainsail and boom can be seen clearly from the helm.
All running rigging is led to a central ‘sail control station’ between the helms, where there are four big electric winches to make adjustments easily, and plenty of tailing bags to keep excess rope neatly tucked away.
Under power, the twin 110HP Yanmar diesels perform well and there is an upgrade to 150HP, both will spin the boat easily in its own length.
Her trademark inverted bows and weight optimized construction will offer great performance under sail and power. Look forward to some exhilarating sailing.
