Bavaria Cruiser 37 features
ABOVE DECK
The Bavaria Cruiser 37 carries her 12ft beam well aft enabling this 37 footer to have twin helm positions. This provides for excellent visibility when helming on either tack and also gives a clear walkway through to the transom. Furthermore, the transom lowers to provide the perfect swimming platform at anchor and ease of boarding at the dock. When closed, the top edge doubles as a helm seat for sailors who prefer to sit right behind one of the wheels. The ergonomic cockpit itself caters for six people comfortably.
SAILING PERFORMANCE
With a roller furling mainsail, or a battened mainsail option, and a furling genoa, this yacht goes from bare poles to full sail in under a minute. She is well balanced, super fast to tack, easily sailed short-handed, and the double-ended bridled mainsheet eliminates the need for a traveller.
The genoa sheets though movable cars that run on short tracks on the cabin top. This geometry enables narrower sheeting angles, shorter distances during tacks which means a higher performance sailing yacht. The main shrouds run outside the deck giving cleaner access forward.
Not only does she sail beautifully but under power, with the Volvo D1-30, she will cruise happily at 6 knots.
MAKING SPACE MORE SPACIOUS FOR THE INTERIOR
Below decks, the saloon gives a sense of well-being and space to relax. There is 6’ 3” of headroom, 2 or 3 double cabins, (both versions have an L-shaped galley to starboard, and head and shower to port). There is plenty of ventilation with 6 opening hatches and 5 opening portlights on the boat.
Every corner, edge, and the doorframe is solid wood, unique in this size of yacht. The extra hatches in the coach roof and extended hull windows give plenty of natural light and add to the feeling of space below. She feels more like a 40-foot yacht.
There are extensive options available including the number of cabins, choice of mainsail type, electronics packages, and several choices of upholstery and joinery options. allowing you to completely customize your yacht.
