Lagoon 55 Catamaran, designed in 2021, this Lagoon 55 Catamaran has no straight line, no flat surface, all the lines are drawn taut, all the surfaces are compound. This is done to express strength and quality. Nothing has been left to chance, this is a totally designed vessel in all its smallest details. Our objective is not to make customers like our Lagoon 55 catamaran, we want them to prefer it.

Designed for Lovers of the Sea

Our idea was to design a boat offering an unequalled view of the splendour of the sea, giving all our attention to anticipating the circulation on board, offering generous space, and allowing those on board to find their very own preferred spot. Our experience tells us that people ignore design that ignores people.

That’s also why we wanted to draw a beautiful boat that would be immediately identifiable, as being a Lagoon.

A Real Terrace on the Water

“The transoms have been really designed to be privileged places, at the water’s edge. You imagine yourself as outside the boat, listening to the lapping of the water, enjoying a good book…”

Marc Van Peteghem – VPLP design

The new onboard access and circulation concepts offer a brand new sensation. The transoms are no longer just a circulation area but a real living space at anchor, for cooking in the outdoors or simply for dreaming with your feet in the water…

As in all our collaborations, Nauta Design followed Lagoon’s brief closely in creating this Interior Design concept. The shipyard’s primary objective was to bring the same level of high-quality lifestyle defined by bright and elegant spaces and a sense of peaceful, harmonious lightness as is found on Lagoon’s larger cats, to this new catamaran. An objective we shared with the builder. Nauta worked closely with Lagoon and with Patrick le Quément to open up vistas and sources of natural light, using horizontal lines to give a sense of continuity with the seascape and the horizon and to free up visual space so that guests can really enjoy the sea, the sky, the sun and the beauty of their surroundings.

Overhead Windows for Breathtaking Vistas of Star-studded Skies

Large windows and two spectacular skylights in the saloon, the heart of on-board living spaces, were created to “bring the outdoors in.” Opening up the interiors to such an abundance of natural light allows having a seamless connection with the landscape and the natural environment.
