From its beginnings at Nanny Cay Marina, Tortola in the British Virgin Islands, Horizon has grown from a small operation with three yachts in charter management into one of the largest independent charter and yacht sales companies in the Caribbean. With a focus on quality, service, and exceptional sailing experiences, our story is defined by dedication, expansion, and a love of the sea.
On February 11, 1998, Horizon Yacht Charters was established at Nanny Cay, Tortola by Andrew Thompson and Sylvia Driver. With a modest start of just three yachts and a team of four, the foundation for a customer-focused yacht sales and charter company was laid. Our first fleet included:
Establishing a solid relationship with manufacturers and earning a reputation for invaluable guidance on building charter yachts customized for the Caribbean market, Horizon added more yacht ownership options for buyers.
We expanded our range of manufacturers for yacht sales to include: Fountaine Pajot (2006), Beneteau (2008), Lagoon (2016), Jeanneau (2018). We became the authorized dealers in the English-speaking Caribbean for Nautitech Catamarans in 2014.
